Handstand Fiesta 2027

A five-day handstand and acro festival at the Ozen Resort in Mexico's Riviera Maya near Playa del Carmen - 18 hectares of jungle with a Buddha Hall, palapa training spaces and a winding pool - run in English for all levels.

Three tracks (beginner, intermediate, advanced) plus open-level workshops on creativity, flow and isolated skills, with masterclasses in flexibility, technique and physical prep, from a first press handstand to advanced work. Extras include Thai massage, restorative yoga, morning meditation, a Temazcal ceremony, a cenote swim and a full-moon performance night. Founder Eamonn Doran (Ireland) and Mau Jara (Costa Rica) lead, with more to come. Five nights in a private jungle studio and three daily meals included; early 'Believer' ticket $849 (first 10, refundable until Dec 2026), regular $1,099.

The 572 m² pool (Zorba Zing) and an Art Hub studio round out the grounds, the Temazcal is led by local shamans, and the sixty private jungle studios have a queen bed (private-cabin upgrade +$100); Eamonn founded Handstand Fiesta and Mau teaches at Costa Rica's INAC Circus School.
