Ara Move

Handstand Intensive Slovenia

This event has finished.

Five days of daily hand-balancing, conditioning and mobility work at a lakeside mountain venue in the Škofja Loka hills of Slovenia, about 45 minutes from Ljubljana, run by the Barefoot Yoga team.

Framed as a lifestyle rather than just fitness, days flow from 8am yoga through handstand sessions, river breaks and evening stretching, massage and campfire. Split into Level 1 (kick up to a 15-second wall handstand) and Level 2 (20-second free balance), with a one-minute video submitted at registration. Farmhouse rooms (shared or private) or camping, with local vegetarian/vegan meals; the full package of four nights, three training days, nine meals and 16 workshops runs €450-590, with returning-student and back-to-back discounts.

The organiser lists the teaching team as Samuele D'Alcantari (Italy - one-arm handstands, presses, sevens; founder of Sicily's Handstand Extravaganza), Tony Panaro (gymnastics and circus) and yoga teacher Katharina Karner (Austria), with assistant Issy Denman, facilitator Gabe Moves and cook Magdalena Harrer. The farmhouse sleeps up to 35 in shared rooms (2-4 people, private bathrooms), with optional single/double rooms at a surcharge or camping by the barn.
