A week of acro at a farmhouse in Mikofalva, in the Bukk hills of northern Hungary.
The ninth Hungarian Acro Convention opens with arrival on Sunday 16 August and the first workshop on the Monday, then runs classes daily apart from Thursday, a national holiday, closing with a late afternoon session on Sunday 23rd and a party. Noel Spauwen teaches alongside two further international teachers, and the material spans basing and pitching, handstands, washing machines, flows and sequences, lifts and balances, Icarian work and trio tricks. Numbers are capped at 35. Everyone camps among the trees with their own tent, mat and sleeping bag, and sanitary facilities are basic toilets and showers. Three vegetarian meals a day are included, with meat, fish or vegan plates on request, and the site has a lounge, a small pool, a sauna, a space for massage and yoga, and bicycles free to borrow. Full price is 395 euros including food and camping, 320 euros early bird until 15 June, 290 euros for past acro building participants, 150 euros for children aged 7 to 12 and free for under 7s.
