Partner Acrobatics Teacher Training | Spain

A two-week partner acrobatics teacher training at Cortijo Casería del Mercado, a working organic farm in the Alpujarras mountains near Granada, Spain.

Led by David Worrow, Evan Josef Cohn and Emily Baxter, it blends intensive practice - standing acrobatics, handstands, washing machines, trio work and Icarian games - with pedagogy, motor-learning theory and class facilitation, plus prehab, conditioning and evening therapeutic sessions. The fee covers shared accommodation or camping and three organic meals a day, with airport and bus transfers provided; early-bird from €1,650 (camping) or €1,900 (shared room).

The farm sits near Cástaras in Andalucía, about 1.5 hours from Granada and 2 from Málaga, with days running roughly 8am to 9:30pm around a midday siesta. Required skills include a one-minute wall handstand, shoulderstand variations, tic-tocs, thighstand, foot-to-hand, two-man high and experience with pops, Icarian and whips (L-basing, corkscrew, reverse star and hand-to-hand recommended), shown via a 1-2 minute video. Meals are mostly vegetarian with some meat plus vegan and gluten-free options, and a single-room upgrade is available. A €400 deposit by 1 April holds the early-bird rate; prices rise to €1,950/€2,200 afterwards. Shuttles run from Málaga Airport and Granada Bus Station.
